Iringa is located South of the Equator between latitudes 60 55’ and 90 00’. Longitudes between 330 45’ and 360 55’ east of Greenwich. It is subdivided into Iringa Municipal, Iringa District Council, Mufindi District Council, Mafinga Town Council and Kilolo District Council. Elevation ranges from 900 to 2,700 metres above sea level.
